Finished: Airframe (Crichton). A typical fast-paced Crichton book. :-) Fast-paced, but very technical as well. And, slightly predictable...but still a good book. We've had this book up on the shelf for years, and I'd never read it. Set in the 90's, the opening scene of the airplane "turbulence" is pretty frightening, but the remainder of the book takes place on the ground with the main character, Casey, the female quality control vice president of Norton Aircraft, trying to figure out what caused four people to die during the so-called turbulence. There are a few harrowing moments as Casey is threatened a few times....duh duh duhhhh...some people don't want her to find out the real truth. The ending was a little anti-climatic because I figured it out once this one random character was mentioned...but still, it was a good and fast read! Glad I'm not flying anywhere for awhile!! My favorite Michael Crichton book remains, Jurassic Park. :-)
